Lagada
Lagada is located in the northeast part of Chios island and 17 kilometers away from the city. Sitting amphitheatrically on a hillside, it is a village of about 2000 people. Most of them are sailors or fishermen.
Lagada has been a sea crossroad since the ancient times. West of the village, you can find the Agrelopos settlement. East of the village and across the sea, you can see the Oinousses islands.
The picturesque Lagada harbour attracts many visitors during the summer. At the taverns, you can enjoy fresh fish and sea food, accompanied by ouzo.
The local celebration of Agia Sofia is on Semptember 17th, including, of course, a night full of traditional dances.
